Working Together.

Contact

If you’d like to explore art therapy, please get in touch via my contact form. I can answer any questions you might have, or if you prefer, arrange an initial telephone call,  to work out how I might be able to help you.

First meetings

Art therapy will begin with two or three sessions in which we can work out whether I’m the right therapist for you. You’ll be able to experience the session space and how sessions might progress.

I’ll also be looking to get to know you, what your goals for therapy are, so that we can ensure that therapy is going to meet your individual needs.

After the first three sessions we can decide how often we might meet and for how many sessions. If we decide to not continue with your therapy, I’ll try my best to signpost you to another therapist or service who can help.

Your journey

At this point we’ll look through a therapy agreement together so that we both know what to expect from each other along the way.

Anything that happens in the sessions, any art that you produce, or any information about you will be treated confidentially and won’t be shared with anyone other than my clinical supervisor (who will treat the information in the same way). Whatever you make will be kept safe and private by myself until the end of the therapy, at which point you can decide what you want to do with it.

We’ll also have regular review sessions, in which we can look back on the way our work together has progressed, see whether your therapy goals have changed and what to work on next or whether we feel the therapy can be drawn to a close.

I’d love to hear from you. If you have any further questions please use my contact form to get in touch.

Abstract composition of vibrant colours and circular shapes with metallic textures. Art Therapy

Therapy for trainee therapists.

The content of trainee therapy sessions will be similar to that of individual therapy, with the  understanding that as a trainee you may or may not be coming with presenting issues and that the content of the sessions may be more about supporting your training journey, and helping you process and understand how you stand in relation to course materials and your training in the therapy profession. I’d love to sit alongside you on that journey.
